Robert wasn’t always a cyborg. He used to be an average, sweaty, fleshy boy until the muscarian terrorist group known as the Muskorps kidnapped him to use as bait to draw Percy over. But Percy was too late, as Robert was found beaten to near-death, lapsed into a permanent coma.
Unable to accept his horrible fate, Niko offered to use their combined research to build a robotic body for him. Robert’s family eventually agreed, seeing as things seemed grim for him either way. The experiment was a success, but left Robert in a rather clanky, animatronic-like form. He’s often malfunctioning, needs regular maintenance, and is very obviously inorganic, but hey, it beats being dead.
It took a long time for him to accept his new appearance, but Robert enjoys being a living scientific oddity, even if it comes with the occasional bug or two.
Robert is the younger brother of Percy, an aspiring young scientist working together with his partner Niko to study the benefits of “cyberbiology” (things like robotic prosthetics or enhancements), until a terrible tragedy ends up making him the perfect test subject. Robert is placid, yet sassy.
He doesn’t like to call himself a genius, rather “a guy that knows a lot of stuff nobody cares about”. He’s fairly self-pitying and down on himself, and yet insistent on being independent. He gets into trouble often which leads to his older brother rescuing him, and he somewhat resents Percy for making him look like a helpless child — When really, Robert’s quite cowardly and curls up into a sobbing ball at the first sign of any danger.

Steven and her father share a very close bond. After being disfigured and losing her mother at a very young age, she relied solely on her father’s help to survive for quite some time. Even now as an adult, Steven looks up to Darius as a role model and a mentor for her magic.
As for Darius, his daughters are the few people that actually get a smile out of him.

FUN FACT: Steven has the life force of 100 souls floating inside her body. Each soul can be summoned in the shape of a ghostly shadow arm, for a total of 100 arms each!
